Periklis Pavlides was a successful businessman, a fighter and a philanthropist. He was born and raised in Limassol and his life was characterized by his constant involvement not only in social matters but also in matters of financial activity. Mr. Pavlides inspired a lot of people, especially through his action as a businessman, while he never ceased to help all those who needed his assistance. He was the one who inspired the program for free education in the musicNart School.

He was married to Mrs. Neophyta and had four children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild with her. He passed away in October 2013 at the age of 77 at his country house in the village of Anarita in Paphos. The cause of death was cardiac insufficiency.

Paying tribute to Pericles Pavlides, the Institute has been named after him.
